INDICATIONS AND USES:
IGF-1, also known as insulin-like growth factor, and has a similar role to insulin in the human body and can bind to insulin receptors. It plays a role in the growth of children during puberty when produced naturally and has anabolic effects when used by adults. IGF-1 has been shown to aid in muscle growth, anti-aging, inflammation, and memory. IGF-1 is an endocrine hormone, meaning that it assists with multiple functions which may include metabolism, movement, sexual development, and growth. When produced naturally the production of IGF-1 is stimulated by GH. It does this by growth hormone, or GH, releasing into the blood stream which then stimulates the liver into producing IGF-1. Once produced IGF-1 works in the growth of cells. Some of these cells may be produced in places like bones, liver, skin, and skeletal muscle.
